With the first planned intake in September 2020, the MSc in Real Estate is for potential students who would like more real estate knowledge to apply to their place of work, or who want a change of career and make the move into the real estate sector.
The two year flexible master’s is a blended learning course. Students will mainly access learning materials online in the form of webinars, tutorials and assessments and will also attend face-to-face, three-day conferences at the University’s international centre in Dubai.
This fast-track conversion course builds on the established strengths of the School of Environment, Education and Development (SEED), and has a particular focus on the social and environmental aspects of property, alongside the economic factors.
The impact of globalisation and sustainability on real estate practice is also reflected throughout the course, with opportunities to examine legal and regulatory frameworks and property markets on an international basis.
Mark Shepherd, Course Director said: ‘Following the success of the blended MSc Real Estate recently launched in Manchester, we’re delighted to work with UMW and colleagues in Dubai to deliver this flexible Master’s course. The changing dynamics of the real estate market in the United Arab Emirates and throughout the Middle East means this course will offer the necessary skills and hands-on training to further progress in their careers.’
