On 8 February 2018, the British Chamber of Commerce in Sao Paulo held an event about innovation and how companies could foster an innovative culture to leverage their businesses.
Ana Vitelli, South America Regional Director and Chair of Human Capital Committee at the Britcham Sao Paulo led the discussion with professionals from PwC and Diageo, who presented how their companies were driving innovation in their businesses.
Relevant lessons learned from the event were:
(1) Learn to think differently ; this is a key competence in today´s business world;
(2) a more fluid organizational structure sets a good ground for new ideas;
(3) tolerance to risk and errors are key success factors to innovation;
(4) new meaning of work: less compartmentalized, more collaborative and with purpose.
