An evening with our University’s President and Vice-Chancellor & Nobel Laureate

In collaboration with The British Council Singapore and managed by The University’s Division of Development and Alumni Relations, this was a great event at The National Museum of Singapore on 19 September to hear from Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell (President  & Vice-Chancellor of The University of Manchester) as well as Professor Sir Andre Geim (Nobel Laureate, Regius Professor and Royal Society Research Professor at The University of Manchester).

Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell spoke about our University, as well as what it meant to be a University of the Future. Professor Sir Andre Geim, on the other hand, spoke about graphene’s possible applications. He also described his experiments on levitating frogs which brought him the Ig Nobel Prize.

Around 200 people who consisted of our University’s alumni, friends and supporters that were based here in Singapore, as well as invited guests from The British Council Singapore, attended the said event.
