On December 7th, the 2017 Big Ben Award (Shanghai) Charity Award Ceremony was held, followed by the University of Manchester Shanghai Alumni Dinner, to recognize individuals and institutions in Shanghai that have achieved outstanding performance in their fields of work and made great contributions to society.
The 2017 Big Ben Awards Charity Award Ceremony has been held in London, where British Prime Minister Theresa May sent a congratulation message through the office at Downing Street.
This year, Alliance Manchester Business School and Tsinghua Wudaokou School of Finance were named the “Most Admired MBA Education Award” for the Big Ben’s Golden Mulberry Award.
As the only overseas school to achieve the award, AMBS receives the recognition for delivering rigorous academic programme with an international appeal while also maintaining its flexibility to meet the needs of the Chinese market.
Professor Fiona Devine OBE FAcSS FRSA, Head of Alliance Manchester Business School accepted the award on behalf of AMBS and delivered an acceptance speech.
At the ceremony, Ms. Sherry Fu, the University of Manchester China Centre Director, was awarded “Ten Outstanding Young Overseas Returnees Prize”. On the same day, the University of Manchester China Centre was also awarded “Best Communication Award” by PR Newswire.
