My MBA journey with Alliance Manchester Business School has been nothing short of spectacular and amazing. Over the past two years, I’ve had the opportunity to interact with over 100 individuals, most of them hailing from firms and businesses that I wasn’t even aware about. The cultural diversity and mix of people from Asia, Europe, Latin America and Australia embarking on this journey alongside myself truly encapsulated the definition of ‘Global’ for me.
I know that an MBA teaches one to see the ‘big picture’. AMBS not only did that, but also taught me to see things from micro-level perspectives as well. The school’s tagline of “Original Thinking Applied” encouraged my classmates and I to think outside the box, to create unique assignments and projects. Having a diverse group of people brings diverse thoughts and cultures together, allowing me to have a learning experience like no other. Because of this, I have learnt how to communicate more effectively during business meetings and presentations, and how to engage in more fruitful discussions with my colleagues and clients.
The Manchester Global MBA is no doubt rigorous, but no good comes without putting in the due effort required and thus, I would pre-plan short 3 to 4-day trips once every few months to take me off from the office and studies to relax the brain muscles. I would say that it has helped a lot and definitely gave me an extra boost to keep pushing myself further than before.
I am now towards the end of my MBA journey and am excited about putting the theories into practice in my journey ahead.
